With the weather starting to warm up, it's time to venture out of our apartments and take advantage of what NYC has to offer its residents! Last spring, most of us weren't able to take advantage of the experiences we were used to due to the pandemic. Many are starting to get vaccinated, restrictions are beginning to loosen up; let's dive in and get out there!
Our Team has put together a list of parks to spend our next sunny day! Whether it's having a picnic, getting some fresh air, or bringing our little furry friends for some playtime, check out these top parks to visit this spring!
Bryant Park
Situated behind the New York Public Library is Bryant Park. Bryant Park offers you a unique experience as you are surrounded by Manhattan'sManhattan's modern skyscrapers. Just grab a chair, get a cup of coffee and let the impressive scenery work its magic on you. The contrast of nature and city, tranquillity, and haste is typical for Bryant Park in NYC! Added bonus: The park also boasts free wireless access making it the perfect place to work while basking in the sun.
Battery Park
Nestled at the very bottom of the island of Manhattan is Battery Park. You will find 25 acres of harbor views, bike paths, lawns, and an urban garden. One of the city's best spots to soak up some rays is at the quiet and clean corner of southern Manhattan. Battery Park flaunts water views that include the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Central Park
Central Park is one of the many favorite places for locals to relax, catch some sun, or do some physical activity. It covers 1.4 square miles, all the way from 59th Street (Central Park South) to 110th Street (Central Park North). This park boasts amenities from baseball fields & bike paths to a zoo; Central Park truly has it all.
Domino Park
One of the newer additions to the Brooklyn waterfront development, this park is located on the former Domino Sugar factory's grounds. If you're a real New Yorker, you will remember this towering building in Williamsburg. These days the grounds are home to Domino park (designed by the folks behind the High-Line). Ride your bike here from Greenpoint or Bushwick to hang out or bring the kids to the playground. You can snag a spot on one of the many benches overlooking the East River and soak up some rays.
McCaren Park
This Brooklyn park is popular with area hipsters, and it continues to be a family favorite, too. Located in Williamsburg, this park is filled with baseball, football, and soccer fields, dog runs, tennis courts, and more. You'll also find a playground at Lorimer Street and Driggs Ave.
Madison Square Park
Madison Square Park is a seven-acre green space at the heart of New York City near the Flatiron Building. It's a quaint and charming park with a very residential feel, except for one key feature. It is home to the original Shake Shack. If you are going to try Shake Shack while in NYC, this is the place to do so. Surrounded by landmark architecture and vibrant businesses, it is home to some of the world's best art and horticulture exhibitions.
